Three artists on show this summer at the Hôtel de Paris Saint-Tropez
Elisabeth de GOURCUFF
This established artist draws her inspiration from nature and probably has the largest collection of bird bronzes in the world. She studies these animals in minute detail, transcribing their grace in a largely anthropomorphic plastic expression. Elisabeth confides that if she had to be an animal, she would be a wader. Her exceptional treatment of bronze, her preferred material (she also works in stone, plaster and wood), sets her art apart from current trends in contemporary sculpture, and gives the impression that her feathered animals are almost ‘humanly alive’.
Eight bronzes by Elisabeth de GOURCUFF can be seen in the hotel’s patio and on the rooftop on the fourth floor until October 17th, 2023.
Lorenzo QUINN
In collaboration with the town of Saint-Tropez, Galeries Bartoux unveiled several monumental works by artist Lorenzo Quinn in the heart of the village.
The Hôtel de Paris Saint-Tropez is delighted to be taking part in this unique summer exhibition, hosting two works by the artist graduate of the New York Academy of Fine Arts.
Discover the sculpture Four Loves at the entrance to the hotel and Finding Love installed in the lobby until October 17th, 2023.
Mikhail BARANOVSKIY
Artist, writer and scriptwriter Mikhail Baranovskiy expresses his perception of the world in a multidisciplinary way. In the paintings he is exhibiting this summer at the Hôtel de Paris Saint-Tropez, he applies the fundamental principles of dramaturgy. His works are full of metaphors, unexpected twists, meanings and multi-layered readings. His unique and identifiable style appeals to an enthusiastic clientele in the United States, Europe and Israel, where the artist lives.
