The summer of 2025 in Saint Tropez opens under the banner of creativity and literary tribute with the event Saint Tropez in Blue<\/em>. Now in its eighth edition, this celebration shines a light on the singular vision of writer Fran\u00e7oise Sagan<\/a>. The H\u00f4tel de Paris Saint Tropez is proud to be associated with this initiative, which places culture and artistic expression at the very heart of the summer season.<\/p>\n

In homage to this free spirited and audacious figure, the Les Toits lounge bar presents Fran\u00e7oise Sagan\u2019s favourite cocktail, the Sagan High Tea. Saint-Tropez’s landmark events always keep pace with the times, but never lose sight of their soul. For the last eight years, every new edition of “Saint-Tropez Couleur Bleu” has paid homage to an iconic figure with a destiny intrinsically tied to that of the peninsula. After Paul Signac in 2022, Colette in 2023 and Brigitte Bardot in 2024, the 2025 edition is celebrating Fran\u00e7oise Sagan and the 90th<\/sup> anniversary of her birth on June 21st<\/sup>, 1935.<\/p>\n

The village lighthouse \u2013 a timeless symbol standing serenely facing the Med – will be dressed to impress, with a new work of art by JBC Art inspired by Sagan’s liberated yet sensitive world. Ushering in this year’s edition, focusing on art, heritage and the sea and led by patrons Agn\u00e8s Bouquet and Maxime Eelsen, the official opening is scheduled on June 14th<\/sup> at 7 p.m. The H\u00f4tel de Paris Saint-Tropez is thrilled to be partnering with the event again this year as part of our pledge to culture. As the village pays tribute to an icon, between sea and sky in the warm sunshine of June, our five-star hotel continues to assert its commitment to the creative spirit of Saint-Tropez through this enriching collaboration.<\/p>\n

There are mornings on which legends are written in silence, in the blur of an alarm clock that went off too soon. That day, Fran\u00e7oise Sagan had accepted an interview with the magazine Elle. An incorrigible night owl, she was barely awake when the journalists arrived at 10 a.m. Steaming cups of tea were served, but in her drowsy state she couldn’t manage to concentrate on the journalists’ questions. She slipped a quiet word to the maid, who duly returned with a bottle of scotch in hand, pouring a splash into Sagan’s tea. Both tender and insolent, this scene – related by Sagan’s son Denis Westhoff thanks to the precious testimony of Olivia de Lamberterie – birthed the Sagan High-Tea. This exclusive cocktail, now on the menu of our rooftop bar “Les Toits”, combines the mellow taste of smoked Chanoyu black tea with the warmth of a dash of scotch, spiked with a few drops of tangy southern lemon. Audacious, subtle and resolutely liberated\u2026 Just like the author herself.<\/p>\n
